Because Setter Play designs and manufactures all of our own equipment, we are able to tackle tricky projects with tricky briefs for tricky spaces. A great example of this is our work at Harpenden Academy, where we were asked to replace a dangerous and condemned climber with an exciting and more importantly safe alternative.
This climber had to reach to the height of the school’s external walkway, safely inviting children nearly 3-metres in height and providing them with a variety of different routes to climb up or down. We created a fantastic set of internal platforms to reach the climbers’ walkway, that was complemented by a challenging free-form section that added varieties in styles of play, to maximise play value.
Above you can see the raised walkway, that we built to fit the school’s walkway, creating a seamless and bespoke solution that very few other play companies could match.
